    Don't over-eat. There are several ways to keep yourself from over-eating. Firstly, if you're snacking on something, portion out just a small bit and put the rest away. At dinner, serve the family and immediately put the leftovers away. You'll be less tempted for an unneeded second serving if you have to get it back out.

    ☀️Face to Face Friday☀️ Spring Break 2016 ➡️ Present The left picture is actually really meaningful to me because I remember feeling like I had made a lot of progress mentally and emotionally and was starting to feel like I was getting back to a good point in my life again. I remember feeling really pretty the day this picture was taken and just overall feeling good. And then I remember when I looked at the picture, I got really upset on the inside. I remember thinking, “Is this really what I look like?” I felt like my outside appearance didn’t match how I felt inside at all and it really upset me. I didn’t understand how I had let myself get to this point. . I knew I was having a ridiculous amount of heart burn. I knew I was having knee pain and back pain when I shouldn’t. [My mother took me shopping and I couldn’t keep up with her. We had to end the day early because my knees and back hurt so badly.] I felt like I couldn’t go do things and participate in things like my friends did. I felt like I somehow was worth less than other people who weighed less than me. . When I started losing weight, I thought it was going to be all about getting skinny so I could finally live my life. But I realized very soon that it’s not about the weight at all. It’s about how my body feels. Yes I weigh in to keep myself on track because it works for me right now. It gives me feedback and I use it as a tool along with other tools. *please do not rely solely on the scale* But, the most important thing is that by losing fat, my body feels so much better. I have so much more energy and so much more confidence. . All this to say: it’s not fat v. fit/skinny/less fat/whatever. I wasn’t worth less because I weighed more. I shouldn’t have not participated in things because I weighed more. I shouldn’t have had less confidence because I weighed more. It doesn’t matter what you weigh. What matters is, I set goals for myself and I worked really, really hard to reach them over the past year and a half. The fact that I achieved what I set out to accomplish has given me more confidence and allowed me to feel like I am finally living my life. . My point is: if you really want something, go for it.

    🔥High Calorie Food Swaps For Those Who Don’t Eat Enough🔥 . . 🔹Something a bit different here today. Often we talk about lower calorie food swaps to help get people into that calorie deficit needed for fat loss. However, in my experience it's very common for people (especially females) to be in too much of a calorie deficit 🙉 . . 🤔Remember, when we eat too little we risk losing muscle mass and holding onto body fat. Not good. My job as a coach is to get my online coaching clients to eat enough so they are keeping muscle whilst still dropping body fat. Not always easy 🤦‍♂️ . . 🍗The trick is to try to consume foods that aren't much different in volume so they aren't harder (filling) to eat, so to speak. This is where many fats, especially oils are useful as they don't require much extra effort to eat. Think about pouring 2 tablespoons of olive oil on your salad. That's 240ish kcals added easily 🥗 . . 🥑There are definitely more higher calorie food swaps than these but I hope it's enough to get you started. Remember don't be afraid of food. I'm not saying go out and eat junk food to get calories up. With a few changes you can increase calories through nutritious food sources and change your body for the better 💪🙂 . . 👫Tag a friend who needs to eat more.     Alrighty. I started my day with all the right intentions. Woke up. Got workout clothes on. Walked around to warm my feet up(damn pf). Did #t25 cardio. Went to work. Once I got home I had a list of stuff that needed to be done and my run was set on the back burner. And it never happened. I was not happy with myself. But I have to remind myself, that throughout this holiday season I have been working out, eating right, getting my runs in and keeping up with everything else. Some days you just have to step aside and make time for all the things you haven't gotten done. I will wake up tomorrow, get my double day of t25 done and go to work. And Saturday I will have a really long and hopefully fun long run. Don't be too hard in yourself if you miss a workout.     Had a nice #NSV today. For the first time in my life I was able to bench my body weight (230lbs)! This is something I honestly never thought would be possible for me.     Sauté Chicken Salad⠀ -⠀ For more delicious recipes check out ⠀ @flavorgod@flavorgod⠀ -⠀ *Important note: preheating the sauté pan is very important, for the sauté you want the pan to be medium to high before the protein hits the pan.⠀ -⠀ First: Make the salad dressing.⠀ Before the sauté, I like to make the salad dressing. Making salad dressing first gives it time to sit in the refrigerator and build in flavor.⠀ -⠀ Chicken Sauté Ingredients:⠀ 1 chicken breast / cut into 1 inch cubes⠀ 1/4 cup - mustard / liquid/ yellow or Dijon⠀ 2 tablespoon - parsley / fine chop⠀ 1/2 tsp - Flavorgod Ketchup Seasoning⠀ 1/2 tsp - Flavorgod Pink Salt & Pepper⠀ 4 cloves fresh garlic, smashed⠀ 1 tablespoon - ghee butter / or as needed⠀ -⠀ Salad ingredients:⠀ 1 cup - spinach or arugula⠀ 1/4 cup - yellow bell peppers / diced⠀ 1/4 cup - cucumbers / diced⠀ 1/4 cup - tomatoes /mini / cut in half⠀ 1/4 cup - jicama / shredded⠀ -⠀ Salad Dressing Ingredients:⠀ 3 tablespoon - lemon juice / fresh⠀ 1/2 tablespoon - Dijon mustard, optional⠀ 3/4 cup - extra-virgin olive⠀ To taste: Flavorgod Pink Salt & Pepper⠀ To taste: Flavorgod Italian Zest Seasoning⠀ ⠀ Directions:⠀ Make salad dressing. Refrigerate once done.⠀ Sauté:⠀ Heat a sauté pan on medium high heat for 1 minute.⠀ Next Add 1 tbs ghee butter.⠀ Season chicken cubes lightly with flavorgod Pink Salt & Pepper.⠀ Add chicken cubes to hot pan and cook without touching for 2 minutes.⠀ Once 2 minutes is over, turn chicken cubes to cook on other side. And let cool for 1 minute.⠀ Next add garlic cloves, mustard, Flavor God Ketchup Seasoning, parsley, and mix chicken and ingredients together in pan with spatula or by tossing the pan.⠀ Do this step for 30 seconds to 1 minute to coat the chicken with other ingredients and to ensure the chicken is seared on all sides and cooked thoroughly.⠀ Remove from heat.⠀ Next, prep the salad ingredients and plate the salad.⠀ Drizzle cold salad dressing over salad then place sauté chicken on top. Enjoy!
