One of the most underrated ab exercises: stir the pot. I'm convinced if you did plank variations for the rest of your life you'd probably be set. This is deceivingly really difficult. There's not many exercises that are as tough as this!
Beginners start with a normal plank. Neutral spine, make sure the neck is quiet too (especially look for excessive neck extension). Then progress to a plank on a ball...donnext to a mirror so you make sure your hips don't sag. Then lastly, try these. Start in a normal plank and go in a clockwise motion, extending the arms out pushing through your elbows to stay balanced. Repeat counterclockwise. 🔽🔽🔽
I do these as part of a core circuit for about 30-45 seconds each way, no rest in between and 4 sets. Try less time and sets at first. Build your core strength up with these bad boys!
