It was our final dress rehearsal and we realized that we still needed a prop book. Robin went to the bookshelf in the lobby and picked one out. It was the right size. It was a copy of Macbeth, a quiet amusement for us theater kids putting on a show. Robin covered the book, gave it to its actor, and we started that final run.
That night, that final dress, we suddenly became a show. It was like magic - the lines were learned, the set was done and we were ready to open the show.
Two weeks and six performances later, we finally opened the book.
And there you were.
Because of course you were.
You were with us every night. You touched this show. Your presence pulled us together and blessed this production, there is no doubt in our minds.
Thank you, Ryan, for staying with us. You're in our hearts and on our stage, now and always. We miss you. We love you.
