These are my favorite think thin bars. When I started this journey I was having them daily for lunch for the first week or so and then when I noticed that the carb count was so high I stopped. At that time I didn't know that you could subtract sugar alcohols. These have 24 carbs and 22 of them are sugar alcohols. So technically these are "2 net carbs". I saw them at the store the other day and wanted to see if I could incorporate them back in and keep my ketones High. I decided to do a little test. I tested my ketones and glucose before eating the bar and one hour after. Swipe for results. Looks like I'll have to shevle them for now. Ultimately they did keep me full and they didn't make me have any cravings so they're not too bad as an occasional meal replacement, especially since I'm in maintenance but I do want to keep myself burning fat for fuel as much as possible and these definitely popped me out of ketosis for at least a few hours. Not sure exactly how long cuz I didn't want to waste another strip on testing it again. I just went back to low carb for the rest of the day.
