What a rollercoaster this year has been. We were hoping to be doing a post about now to say we had started construction. Unfortunately as with all big projects not everything happens as you'd like. We are still in discussions with the Shire to make sure we have the best emergency access way possible to keep our guests safe should the unlikely happen.
It's not all doom and gloom though, we are learning so much through this process and these delays here mean we can put more time and thought into the construction so that when we do open, everything truly will be perfect ❤
We're both also learning the art of patience, not something that either of us are particularly familiar with! We get an idea, make a plan then make it happen. Ecopodz has taken on a life of its own, and as we've said before, she is bigger than us and so we must take a step back, stop pushing so hard and allow things to happen in their natural time. Easier said than done, but we're working on it!
Whilst most things are on hold at this time of year we have decided to take the opportunity for a quick holiday ourselves so we can be refreshed and ready to smash out 2018. We come to you today from Cusco in Peru. Whilst over here we'll be visiting other ecolodges to get inspiration and learn another way of doing things.
Thank you for all your support and patience with this project, we can't wait to welcome you all to Ecopodz in 2018! ❤
