I don't go on deck without a lifejacket unless it is super calm. And no, I don’t wear this thing because I can't swim, I can. Besides, I am smart enough not to jump off the boat. The truth is, the human members of my pack are not very good at grabbing me without the handle on the back of my lifevest. In the unlikely event that I do fall in and can't save myself, it is really the handle that I am relying on to save me. Or shall I say someone being quick enough to grab it. At least in the Arctic, this high fashion item doubles as a warm vest and I happen to look good in red.
