Cameron is a unique guy. He gives us so much to smile and laugh about with his funny ways. We are always saying what a grump he is but the truth is that he just has a grumpy face 😋and he's only actually grumpy if you try to touch him. If there is no touching or picking up involved he is quite pleasant. He comes running when we call his name and he will look up at us while we talk to him as if he is really interested in what we have to say. Sometimes he will find a spot just a couple feet away and get super comfy while we watch tv. He is almost always facing us and not the TV. We joke about this being his "judging" time. Harshly judging the hoomins and every decision they have ever made 😂 But I really believe that this staring contest is his way of communicating to us. This is the kind of interaction he prefers. "Don't touch me, just sit next to me and talk to me." Each of the Puffytails craves a distinctive type of attention and we've learned to adapt our actions to fit their needs. This has created a bond that we could never have if we, for example, forced Cameron to be held and snuggled. He would never trust us or want to be around us.
Very few rabbits fit the greeting-card stereotype of Easter bunnies who are floppy and love being held. Take time to learn how your bunny wants to relate. Maybe they love head rubs and cuddles, but maybe all they want is to sit near you and share a salad.
