anna and i decided to go bouldering in our Christmas onesies today and it was honestly one of the best ideas we’ve ever had 💪💚💃🎅🏻❤️😂
super grateful for this time of year when we can reflect on how far we’ve come—to add a little perspective, the route in the video is a v3. which to good climbers is like, the easiest thing in the world. but when i started bouldering this summer, i could hardly do v0. and on top of that, i absolutely could NOT do anything that was steep or overhung AT ALL. it was so hard. i couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to keep my feet on the wall and use my legs when i was hanging backwards?!
fast forward to now and this super steep problem is my absolute favorite thing in the gym. i still haven’t finished it (i just need 2 more moves!), but it’s proof to me of how far i’ve come, and it also gives me tons of hope for the future. 6 months ago i couldn’t even fathom being able to climb what i can today, so i’m stoked to see where i am 6 months from now!🙌 shoutout to my douchey ex who wouldn’t teach me how to boulder three years ago when i really wanted to learn (ladies, you don’t need a man to teach a damn thing OKAY?!), to @annawenthome
for making me face my fears and start coming to the gym and for always being my cheerleader, and of course, to @c_healy
for taking this photo and for answering my endless climbing questions and for feeding me when i’m cranky in the gym😘
if any of you lovelies ever wanna hit the gym with anna and i you are MORE than welcome!🤗🤘
