    Last night the annual @d_and_ad Awards Show took place @troxylondon , gathering the industry’s finest to celebrate the very best in creative excellence for design and advertising. Working alongside @aandeddb, #academyfilms @somesuchandco, @droga5 @bbhnewyork, @epoch_films, @venablesbell and #rattlingstick, The Mill are thrilled to have picked up five pencils in recognition of some of its most notable projects from the past year. SSE ‘Neon House’ led the sweep winning two Graphite pencils in Animation and Special Effects in Advertising with Hennessy ‘The Piccards’ also picking up a graphite for Special Effects in Advertising. In addition, PlayStation ‘The King’, and Audi ‘Duel’ each picked up a coveted pencil, in an on-going recognition of the best works from across The Mill studios.     We worked with @fash_rev, Director @balthazarklarwein and Feel Films on #LovedClothesLast, a powerful short film that looks at the issue of mass consumption and waste, which has created an unprecedented crisis and a significant impact on climate change. Graded by #MillColour’s Oisin O'Driscoll @oisinodriscoll_colour, the film showcases a disturbing dystopian reality where landfill and decay meet everyday life, and reminds us that small individual actions can have a lasting effect on our plant.     Last night @lushcosmetics launched the first ever LUSH Talks series at their new Beak Street studio. Mill CD Carl Addy took to the stage to present his inspiring talk 'Chaos is the new Calm' to all those who attended and followed on the live stream. Carl also joined a panel discussion on 'Creativity in Digital Publishing' alongside LUSH's Jack Constantine (Inventor & Chief Digital Officer), Boris Veldhuijzen van Zante (Serial Entrepreteur & Founder of @thenextweb) and Eloise King (Global EP @vice) The multi award winning VR project created alongside the Guardian #6x9 was also available for people to try out.     As the 2017 @d_and_ad Festival kicks off DAY 1 @trumanbrewery we're thrilled to be once again supporting this creative festival. For the next three days #MILLSTRATA is based on the first floor in the VR/AR Area (T1-T5) for festival attendees to experience. Based on biofeedback techniques, the visuals within STRATA respond and react to physiological and neurological data, connecting us to our own emotional state.     The eagerly anticipated British Arrow Awards shortlist was announced today revealing 10 Mill nominations across the VFX, CGI, 3D Animation and Colourist categories. Waitrose, ‘Coming Home’ has been shortlisted for 3 Arrows with Heathrow ‘Coming Home for Christmas’ and SSE, ‘Neon House’ both being nominated in 2 categories.     Go behind the scenes of the Audi A3 ‘Next Level’ campaign, directed by Mill+'s Andrew Proctor in collaboration with Thjnk. The film transports viewers to the ‘Audi Smart Factory of the Future’ where two versions of the car race through a series of mechanical landscapes, crafted entirely in CG by Mill artists. The Mill Product Development Team also created a bespoke gaming app which allows users to compete for high scores with other drivers from across the globe as they undertake a number of unique tracks using a customised A3 model.
